Thiswooden educational puzzle teaches about a Jellyfish life cycle..
Adult jellyfish release their gametes into the water. When male and female gametes meet, they give rise to the planula larva that migrates to the bottom of the sea. Once it has found a suitable substrate, it sticks to it and develops into a polyp that thus lives clinging to the reef with its tentacles pointing towards each other ready to catch its prey. When the environmental conditions of temperature and salinity of the water are favourable, metamorphosis takes place (just like the caterpillar becoming a butterfly): the polyp begins a phase of segmentation of its body, becoming a strobila (this phase is called strobilation) from which the efire, young jellyfish, originate and are released into the water column to grow, become adults and start again.
